Email marketing is still a very effective form of staying engaged with — as well as selling to — your prospects and customers online today.  However, this is a very specialized form of marketing.

  • The most important element in an email marketing campaign is making sure the email gets opened. Without that, the email itself is useless.  That’s why crafting subject lines that are compelling and get the attention of your reader is the most important component of an email.
  • Writing the body copy, whether offering tips or information that helps the reader or making an offer within the body of the email, is an important element that needs to be done right to get the results you want.
  • And finally, writing to different reader segments (e.g. a “cold” list as opposed to people who already know you) is something to consider as well.

Tim has studied and implemented effective email campaigns for clients in diverse industries for years.  Below are some examples…

Finally, a solution to home-brewing problems…

Join in a home-brewing revolution….

Who Else Wants to Join the Home-brewing revolution?…

An investment opportunity that will turn the home-brewing industry upside down..

Dear {First Name}

{Hook statement that addressed equity crowdfunding people}

I’m Oscar. I own a company called Alchema.  We make a device that is about to turn the home-brewing industry on it’s ear.

I developed a revolutionary home-brewing product that is both a device AND app that allows people to make great ciders, wines or brews that taste great EVERY time!

If you’ve been looking for an investment opportunity that can turn an entire industry on it’s ear, then listen up.  This email is just for you.

Home-brewing is a $1 BILLION industry and there are actually 1.2 million “hobby” home-brewers. These are the folks who have done home-brewing for a while and have experienced success with it.

The other side of the coin are the people who try home-brewing, get frustrated with not knowing the proper amount of time to ferment the fruit, the bulky equipment that takes up a lot of room, and then ending up with home-brew that doesn’t even taste good.

We have a solution.  And it works. Every time.

Our Alchema home-brewing device is different from anything out there.  It’s a “smart” home-brewing system that takes all the guesswork out of brewing ciders, wines and virtually any brew.

And an added benefit is that people can brew a variety of flavors with our device—-and they’ll all turn out delicious.

This is pretty much unheard of in the home-brewing industry.  But we’ve done it.  And we’ve done it so that even the neophyte home-brewer can make a great-tasting brew EVERY time.

Think of it kind of like the Keurig machine.

The makers of the Keurig coffee machine simply made it easier to brew a great cup of coffee by having their machine do all the work. Their machine would brew your perfect cup of coffee—whether you want it light or a little more robust.  The machine did all the work. You simply had to put the coffee in.

Our device is similar but much more high-tech.

In a couple of days I’m going to send you another email showing you how our device does practically everything for you except drink the finished product.  AND we have a patented app that differentiates how this works and what we do from anything else in the marketplace.

Go here to check out our investment opportunity.

We’ve literally “cracked the code” so that anyone who can read can make a great batch of home-brew—whether it be cider, wine or ANY flavor of brew.

In the meantime, for more info, go to our page_________________

            Stay tuned.

Best,

P.S. If you have any questions at all regarding this opportunity, just hit reply. I read every email and promise to get back to you as soon as I can.

Why our home-brew device is revolutionary…

Why our home-brew device is going to turn the market on its ear…

Why our home-brewing device will succeed where others have failed…

Dear {first name}

Oscar here. In my last email, I explained about our new device that allows users to brew a great batch of ciders, wines and brews—in a variety of flavors—-that taste good every time!

Our device takes the guesswork out of home-brewing for a number of reasons.

            The biggest reason?

            We have a secret.

We have more than just a new home-brewing device.

We actually have an app that goes with it.

This app is very special. It tells you EXACTLY how long to ferment your particular brew.

It doesn’t matter what fruit you use, the app tells you the proper amount of time for fermentation.

This is the biggest problem and frustration first-time home-brewers experience: not knowing how long to ferment the fruit for their particular brew.

They get frustrated and then give up. With the Alchema device, that problem is solved—every time.  We don’t know any other device on the market that can brew with the precision that the Alchema device can.

We believe it’s going to take the home-brew market by storm and we’d love for you to come with us.

If you’ve ever considered an investment opportunity that has amazing upside potential and is poised to totally disrupt the way the home-brew industry has worked, then this is your ticket.

Below is some information taken directly from our business plan:

“A market research report by IBIS World1 finds that changing taste preferences among consumers has led to a significant shift toward higher-quality beer brands and new styles of alcoholic beverages instead of the industry’s standard premium brands. This trend has stimulated growth among the industry’s craft beer producing establishments, as well as other microbreweries and even home brews, as consumers continue to diversify their alcoholic beverage consumption across all ranges of beers, wines, liquors and other alcoholic beverages.”

The message above is clear: consumers want more flavors and more choices in their brews.  They’re tired of the same old, same old.

And home-brewers want the same choices. More flavors. More variety.

And they want to brew it themselves.

The Alchema device does this—with very little effort on the part of user.

And YOU can be a part of this “revolution” in home-brewing. Why is it revolutionary? Because when even the most unfamiliar person with home-brewing wants to give it a shot, they’ll be able to experience success the very first time!

But don’t take my word for it. Go here for the details on how you can be a part of this industry-changing company and profit from it too!: (Crowdfunding link)

In my next email I’m going to show you how we go one step further with our device. It’s not just a device for home-brewing. It’s a social platform that will unite home-brewers everywhere!

                        Stay tuned!

Best,

P.S. As always, if you have any questions at all about the device or investment opportunity, just hit reply and let me know.  I read every email and I promise to get back to you.

How our home-brew device does more than just brew a great drink…

Our Alchema app is poised to revolutionize the home-brew industry…

Our competitive advantage in the home-brew industry: our app…

See how our patented home-brew app is our secret weapon…..

Dear {first name},

Oscar here.  I want to share with you the biggest edge we have with our Alchema home-brewing device and why you should take advantage of this investment opportunity.

In a word. Our app. Ok, that’s two words. But our app is epic.

Not only does it tell users how long to ferment their brew but at the same time, it collects data from our customers about their tastes preferences.

With that data, we can actually identify early on what the most popular flavors are and get ahead of the trends.

Using that data, Alchema plans on releasing its own line of hard ciders in 2019 thus strengthening its position in the home-brew market.

As you can see, this data gives us a huge marketing advantage. The growth rate in the home-brew industry in the U.S. alone has been 350% just in the last 5 years!

You can see the potential here.

Check out our crowdfunding page here

But here’s another unique and HUGE advantage: In addition to telling users the correct fermentation times and collecting user data, our app is a social platform.

That’s right. It’s got a social media platform built right into it so that home-brewers who use the Alchema device can share recipes and interact on the platform—and all of this will give us incredibly valuable data to stay ahead of the competition in the industry.

            How cool is that?

Do you see why this is going to revolutionize the industry? The revenue potential is huge.

We plan on offering ingredients and accessories that our brewers can buy to give us recurring income.

This is poised to be huge.

Check out the crowdfunding page to see how you can get onboard with us right now!

In my next email, I’m going to share our marketing plan, as well as who we want to target with our device. I think you’ll be surprised at our plan.

Stay tuned. This is gonna get exciting!

Best,

P.S. As always, I’m here for you if you need any other information.  Just hit reply and send me your questions. I promise I’ll get back with you just as soon as I can.  Thanks for reading.

Dear_______

Oscar here. Ok, I’ve told you about our new Alchema home-brew device and how it’s going to revolutionize the home brew market.

We’ll do it with our Alchema homebrew device which will allow virtually anyone to brew a great-tasting cider, wine or brew every time.

I’ve explained that this is done by both our cutting-edge “smart brew” device that monitors the entire process.

I’ve shown you how our app with it’s patent-pending technology can actually show users the precise and best fermentation periods for any fruit so that their brew turns out great EVERY time!

And I’ve told you how the app will revolutionize this industry by also having a social media platform that will enable users to interact with each other, share recipes and compare brews.

And I’ve also explained the way that we can collect data from the app to stay ahead in the market by seeing what people want.

I’m sure you can see the key competitive advantages in the homebrew market and the growth potential for our company for this investment opportunity.

(Check out our crowdfunding page here)

But you’re probably wondering how we’re going to get this out to the homebrew market and who exactly we’re going to target, aren’t you?

            Both, good questions.

First of all, we’re going to target both the beginning home brewer as well as the hobbyist.  If you remember in a previous email I told you they number 1.2 MILLION people!).

We want to capture the hobbyist and the people who would like to homebrew but have been frustrated with the process in the past and got poor results.

Check out our business plan here:________________(the rationale here is that most investors who are investing any sizable chunk of money into this WILL read the business plan so why not just give them a link to it?)

You can see that we’ve truly done our due diligence. We’ve targeted our audience by age (age 25-35), income level (($50k- $125k), drinking behavior and lifestyle choices.

You can also see that we have a head start on this with having already secured 1000 orders and  more orders coming in every month.

We’re also marketing in 3 countries presently so that we can get data from 2 distinct cultures. This will enable us to fine-tune our marketing efforts in the future with different cultural preferences regarding brews, flavors, etc.

We’ve already found that 80% of our orders have come from the U.S. market. We even know which states within the U.S. are working the best for us. This gives us an advantage of rolling this out in a more targeted way and gives us traction for future growth.

Our marketing plan is comprehensive and includes viral video on Facebook as well as YouTube,  trade shows and tasting events, PR and digital marketing.

These avenues are all in addition to our crowdfunding activities.

So, as you can see, we’ve left no stone unturned in rolling out our product.

And we expect to gain traction from all our efforts fairly quickly.

I’m not sure how long I’m going to leave this opportunity open to investors.  From our initial research and early results we’re poised to make a huge impact in the homebrew market fairly quickly.

            So act now!

(Check out our crowdfunding page here)

Best,

Oscar

This may be your last chance……

This investment opportunity is closing soon….

Don’t be left out….

You may want to get in on this before it closes….

Dear____________:

Oscar here. I just wanted to let you know we’re moving full speed ahead with Alchema and our marketing campaign—including the crowdfunding component.

(Check out our crowdfunding page here)

I just wanted to give you a couple more reasons why you should consider investing in Alchema if you’re on the fence about it.

In today’s technological society people want results from anything—-and fast!

This is good news for us. Consumers love “smart devices”.  Anything that takes the guesswork out of an activity or piece of electronic equipment has become the expectation in developed countries.

We have “smart phones” and “smart” medical devices from pacemakers to artificial limbs.  There are even a couple of companies devoted to “smart cars” that drive themselves!  This technology is being refined as I write this and in the very near future the streets and highways will be filled with them.

My point here is simply this: people want devices that will “do” for them, and give them EXACTLY what they want. And in the homebrew industry, this is what we’re giving them.

             A “smart homebrew” solution.

And our device takes it one step further with an app that not only tells the user the proper fermentation time for any fruit or drink they’re brewing, but also provides data to us AND has a social platform for it’s users.

I think you’ll agree that this is truly revolutionary.  A homebrew device that brews a perfect batch of cider, wine or any brew EVERY time!

AND an app that provides social platform for our users to interact and share—-all the while providing us data for drink and flavor preferences.

This feature alone will allow us to stay miles ahead of the competition for determining what consumers want and being able to provide it for them.

I’m going to be closing the crowdfunding portion of this campaign shortly.  I would hate to see you miss out.

If you’re an investor who likes to be on the leading-edge of a company who’s changing an entire industry, then this is the opportunity for you.

            Come grow with us.

Let’s upend this industry and make it accessible to anyone who wants to homebrew but couldn’t get it exactly right in the past.

We’re gonna change that.  We’re gonna help them—and make a bunch of money in the process.

            Sound good?

            Ok, see you there!

(Check out our crowdfunding page here)

Best,

Oscar

P.S. If you’re on the fence about investing and want to discuss your concerns by email directly with me, just hit reply and let me know. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. I invite you to get onboard with Alchema. We’re going to do great things together!

Hi:

As you probably saw from my profile, I’m a business coach.  I’ve been coaching for over 20 years but I’m not your typical coach.  I’m also a psychotherapist.  Don’t worry, I’m not going to try to do therapy or make you go back into your childhood to dredge up past memories or trauma.

However, I’ve found that when coaching most executives, it’s not about a function of their job that they need help with most of the time. It’s usually that they’re stuck in a way of thinking or a behavior pattern that isn’t serving them.

These negative patterns are what keep them stuck where they are and prevent them from moving ahead with their organizations— or even in their life.  When you live with yourself day in and day out you can’t see these patterns. This is where I can help.

But why don’t you see for yourself? I’ll give you a FREE coaching session.  You can then see if I’m a good fit for you.  Just message me back and we’ll set up a time that works for both of us.

This could be the best thing you could do for yourself, your family and your organization. Contact me now!!

Hi:

The first thing I ask my coaching clients is, “What is your biggest challenge?” This is because I want to dig right in and see what YOU want to work on first? The answer to this question can be very telling as to where the best place to start is.

I have a little tagline that I use from time to time. It’s: that I have “an iron fist in a velvet glove”. I’ll admit my style is a bit different. I’m compassionate like a therapist but can be tough as nails when confronting the things keeping your stuck in patterns that aren’t serving you.

And honestly? This is why I’m hired a lot.  Because my clients know I’ll tell them what they need to hear but still understand the human condition and how difficult it can be to get past negative behaviors and thought patterns they’ve had for years.

I’m patient but results driven.  I want to get you past these blocks in as short a time as possible.  That’s what my clients pay me for: results.  And after 20 years of experience coaching, I deliver.

Why don’t you message me back while it’s fresh on your mind?  We can then set up a time for a FREE coaching session.  You can get a feel for my personality and coaching style and see if I’m a good fit for you.

            Until then…

Hi:

After over 20 years a coach and therapist, I’ve learned to really listen to my clients.  By doing this, I can also hear what my client DOESN’T say.  This can be very beneficial in finding out stumbling blocks to growth both personally and professionally.

As I told you in a previous message, the biggest challenge executives have in moving forward with their companies and their lives are largely issues that aren’t directly related to their jobs.

They’re usually emotional or mental blocks and ways of thinking that manifest themselves in behavior.  Addressing these issues first is critical.  How do we find these blocks?

Simple. I ask a series of questions.  Your answers and what you DON’T say will help us both determine what should be worked on.  From there we’ll find ways to remove limiting beliefs, thinking patterns and behaviors that no longer work for you.

Let’s get on the phone and discuss your particular challenges.  I’ll give you a FREE coaching call to see if you think I may be able to help move you forward in your position.  Just message me back right now and we’ll set it up.

            Until then…

Hi:

Melinda here. One thing I want to point out is that although my specialty is getting to the heart of what’s keeping you from moving forward in your job, I’m still a BUSINESS coach and am also well-versed in all aspects of running a business.

I was an entrepreneur at an early age and actually started consulting with my father in his business at the tender age of 12.  I’m well-versed in operations and processes, sales and marketing,  hiring and firing, finances as well as overall leadership of a company. I can help you with these issues as well.

And sometimes I’m hired for a specific business challenge. So, rest assured I can help and guide you with purely business issues also.

But again, don’t take my word for it. Try out a coaching session with me for FREE.  All it will cost you is some time. I know time is just as precious a commodity as money is today—even more so.  I promise I won’t waste yours.

Message me back and let’s get a date and time on the calendar to chat about your challenges.  It may be the best hour you’ve even spent for your job! Contact me now!

Hi:

One of the ‘tools” I use in my coaching business is assessments.  The reason I use them is because they give an objective view of where my client is functioning in a given area.

In fact, the very first thing I do when I start with a new client is do an assessment of their EQ—their “emotional quotient”.  Believe it or not, EQ has much more to do with success in any job than education or even skill level.

This assessment allows both my client and I to determine some issues that may be hindering progress in a particular area.  Maybe we find that the client has lowered impulse control that causes him to “bark” at people before thoroughly assessing a situation.

Another issue may be that an executive is passive-aggressive and sends mixed messages of expectations to her team.  This then causes confusion and frustration for the team members that leads to low morale and low productivity.

I think you can see how important assessing someones EQ is in helping them move forward.

Are you feeling a bit stuck? Want to move to the next level but are frustrated because of it? Then why don’t you message me back right now and I’ll give you a FREE coaching session. We can discuss a particular challenge YOU want to discuss and you can get an idea of my coaching style and personality.

Message me back right now. This could be just the thing to catapult your career forward!

Hi:

One of the common things I see with practically every executive I work with is the level of overwhelm that they experience.  This leads to major stress and then they’re not functioning at peak performance levels.

One of the things I advocate for ALL my clients is a “mindfulness practice”.  This may mean taking even a two minute break to get quiet and collect your thoughts before returning to business. There are a number of methods that I offer to my clients so that they can see what works for them.

Studies have shown time and again that continual stress and overwhelm leads to lower levels of productivity, mistakes and all kinds of problems that keep people from performing at their optimum level.

Very few coaches address this issue and I’ve found it’s a crucial area both for the executive and the company as a whole.  When the executive is more peaceful—and therefore more resourceful—everyone on his team is affected positively.

Why don’t you message me right now and I’ll give you a FREE coaching session. We can set up a time that works for both of us and you can see if my style is a good fit for you.

Hi:

One thing I always point out to my coaching clients at the outset is that our coaching time is “on their dime”, therefore we only work on issues and challenges the client wants to work on.

My job as a coach is to act as a guide to help propel you forward in your business.  I usually can spot things my clients can’t see because they’re entrenched in personal patterns or ways of doing things.

I ask questions and then really listen to the answers.  It enables me to see things they don’t see and give them alternative ways to look at things or help them change their perspective so that it’s more positive and fruitful.

Sometimes the issue may involve not just changing the way they look at things but changing the way they DO things.  It may be communicating in a different way than they’re used to. For example, learning to be more assertive as opposed to being aggressive when giving directives to their team.

One thing I’m always aware of is to stay within the parameters of the clients wishes. Again, working on the issues you want to work on that will move you forward.

I can give you much more information about what I do, how I coach, and specifically, how I can help you if you take advantage of the FREE coaching call I offer.   Just message me back now and we’ll set it up.

I know I can help to get you “unstuck” in your career and life. Contact me now.

Hi:

As I’ve told you in past messages, I’m a bit different than most business coaches.  Because of my background as a psychotherapist I can see things that my clients can’t see. Usually thought or behavior patterns that either are keeping them stuck or are downright detrimental to their success on the job and taking their company to the next level.

Since, as humans, it can be hard sometimes to be self-aware, I’m hired by executives to see what they don’t see.  Once we recognize the roadblocks that are either keeping them stuck or are in the way of true peak performance, we can then work on the specific issue.

Once we’re aware of the challenge, we can deal with it directly.  I’m sort of like a “mountain guide”:  I point out a path they’ve never seen before.  It’s a skill I’ve refined over the years from doing therapy and coaching.  It’s easy to see the new path because I haven’t been on “the old one” like my clients have.

My only focus then is to help guild them on that path.  And this is where the breakthroughs happen.  And breakthroughs mean increased effectiveness, better focus and ultimately, true leadership.

Why don’t you message me back right now. I’ll give you a FREE coaching session and you can see if my coaching style and personality are a good fit for you.

Taking your job and company to the next level could be just one message away…

Hi:

Melinda here.  Let’s face it: most business issues in the long run come down to mindset in the end, don’t they? There are a lot of moving pieces involved in any company.  There are processes and operations, sales and marketing challenges, personnel issues—including hiring and firing—and, of course, financial issues.

What’s the common denominator with all these components? People.  And to go even deeper, what can make or break a company?  How about the interpersonal skills and communication between the employees, their supervisors and the C-suite.

I deal with a lot of interpersonal issues in my coaching practice.  Communication styles vary widely among people generally, and they can definitely hamper a company’s growth.  If there is miscommunication, managers and executives talking “down” to employees and a host of other communication and interpersonal skills errors and problems, this can slow down productivity immeasurably.

And their communication patterns are usually based on how they think.   That’s why changing the way you think, can change the way you communicate.  My job as a coach is to facilitate this change so that your communication is clear and concise. After all, a coach is only hired to help guide someone to be better than they were before, right?

I  have coached all types of executives with diverse interpersonal skill levels and  communication styles.  Bear in mind, I don’t try to change their communication style at all. Rather, I try to enhance what they’re already doing to make them more effective. I also try to gently guide them toward better interpersonal skills that serve them, their team members and company as a whole.

Message me back now and I’ll give you a FREE coaching session. We can chat over a cup of coffee and you can see if I’m a good fit for you.

            Until then….

Hi:

One of the reasons I’m effective at coaching executives so they can get to where they want to be, is by knowing how the brain works.  This is crucial in helping people get unstuck, change their thought patterns and move forward.

My years as a psychotherapist have allowed me to use this knowledge to help my clients as soon as a challenge is uncovered.

I’ve never been a fan of the “years of therapy” approach where the therapist takes a client back to their childhood to find the issues and trauma and work forward from there.  I don’t like that approach, executives don’t have time for it, and I don’t do therapy with my coaching clients anyway.

My clients pay me for results.  My method of coaching is to ask a series of questions to uncover the issues and sticking points of their thinking. This is where my training on how the brain works serves me well.

I can show clients how to change their “neural pathways” in the brain to think differently.  I use a number of techniques to do this but again, I’m focused on results only.  My job is to help my clients uncover the issues, challenges and out-and-out problems that are keeping them from progressing in their jobs and life.

I would love the opportunity to help you move forward in your career. That’s why I offer a FREE coaching session so you can assess whether I’m the right coach for you.  Why don’t you message me back right now, while it’s fresh on your mind and we’ll set up a day and time that works for both of us.

The most successful people in business are using coaches today.  I’m one who takes a different but very effective approach. Contact me now and let’s catapult you forward.

            Until then….

Agencies and Medium-Sized Companies

Email #3

Hi:

After running two successful businesses I’ve decided to re-enter the working world as an employee to use my marketing and project management skills. I simply prefer to use my marketing and branding skills in place of the day-to-day challenges of running a business.

My previous business was a boutique marketing agency that specialized in branding services.  We also provided full-scale marketing campaign design and execution in the U.S. market.

I also owned a product rental business in the local area that serviced hundreds of customers.  In that capacity I improved operational efficiency of my business by 15% while reducing business costs by 40%.  I also increased conversion rates by 200% in only four months of lead generation efforts.

I’d love to use my skills to help a local company like yours increase revenue and market share.   I would love to discuss the possibility of working for you over a cup of coffee. Please message me back if this interests you and we’ll set up a time that works.

            Thanks!

Best,

Janelle

Subject line: Do you care?

Hey_____

Dave here. I wanted to continue the discussion on caring as the foundation of a great safety culture in your organization.

Caring about your workers and their safety.  Pretty simple, huh? The old adage, “people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care” rings true here.

Caring sets the foundation for everything else you do. It instills trust in your workers that you truly care about their safety and everyone else in the company.

Your desire to help and lead in this area is the first step in establishing a connection with your workers to buy into a culture of safety.

Pretty simple, huh? Most things that work are. Try it. Really communicate your desire to help and care and watch what happens.

            Til next time….

Best,

 David

Subject line: Are you coaching?

Hey:

Are you coaching your workers right now? Believe it or not, you are. How you are perceived by them is up to you. This is the second “C” in great safety leadership.

Part of being a great safety coach is being a positive role model for great safety behavior. Modeling is a great tool to use to get workers to adopt a culture of safety.

The best thing you can do for them is to lead by example.  But don’t stop there….

Raise the bar for yourself and them.  Become acutely aware of safety practices and model them—-ALL the time!

In essence, it’s “don’t listen to what I say as much as watch what I do.” Walking your talk enhances your effect on your workers and is very effective in instilling a safety culture.

            Until next time….

Best,

David

Subject line: Raise the bar….

Hey:

Part of great safety coaching is continuous and never-ending improvement. The Japanese called it kaizen and business consultant Edward Deming developed a whole business model around it.

Others call it raising the bar.  When you model great safety practices you’re setting an example for your workers. When you raise the bar for yourself and model that, many times you’ll inspire them to reach the same heights of great safety in your company.

Raising the bar for safety and modeling it daily in everything you do as a manager can truly shape an organizations culture of safety in a positive way.

Give it a try. Raise the bar a little each day for yourself and see what happens….

            Until next time…

Best,

David

Subject line: Are you collaborating?

Hey:

Great leaders in any field not only coach and inspire their followers—or in your case, workers.  They also foster a collaboration with them. Let’s face it the old saying, “two heads are better than one” rings true for safety in your organization.

The more you, as a manager, can collaborate with your subordinates and encourage feedback to gain rapport and get them onboard with good safety practices, the better it is for everyone.

Winning hearts and minds isn’t reserved for invading a country and getting civilians vested in a new order. The same principle applies in getting your workers onboard with a true culture of safety in your company.

Try it and see. Sometimes workers need to be told their opinion matters. This leads to true collaboration and unity for safety.

            Until next time….

Best,

David

Subject line: Sometimes you gotta be a referee..

Hey:

Dave here. The fourth “C” in the “7 C’s of Safety” is conciliation.  This means that sometimes there will be conflict.

            It happens…in ALL organizations.

And it can be dangerous when it happens…

Part of good safety coaching is making sure conflicts get resolved so that everyone can get back to good safety practices. When conflicts arise, your job is to resolve it as quickly as you can.

Try to get everyone to make up and make things right.  Getting off-track with safety can start with something like this and have a ripple effect.

Stop conflict in its tracks as soon as possible.

            Until next time….

Best,

David

Email #6

Subject line: Confirming is everything…

Hey:

Did you know that “accentuating the positive” is a behavior modification technique you can use to really get your people onboard with stellar safety practices?

That’s why confirming your workers—catching them doing something right with safety practices—is so important in developing a culture of safety and getting ALL your employees to buy in to it.

It’s basic psychology that when you reinforce a behavior, the likelihood of that behavior occurring again will be greater.

It’s also important to be very specific with the behavior you’re reinforcing.  Words of praise that target the particular safety practice will help to ensure that that particular behavior will likely occur more in the future.

It’s these seemingly little things that add up to making your organization’s workplace safer.

            Until next time….

Best,

David

Email #7

Subject line: Do you correct your workers when necessary?

Hey:

Dave here.  In my last email I addressed confirming your workers when they are practicing good safety.  The other side of the coin is correcting  them when they’re exhibiting unsafe actions on the job.

This does’t mean yelling or admonishing them. It means correcting the unwanted behavior that’s unsafe and then re-directing the employee to a safer practice.

It means asking questions that will lead the employee to their own conclusion about the behavior and practice. Good managers can gently lead an employee to this without causing animosity with the employee.

Remember that your criticism should always be constructive and helpful.  Belittling or being accusatory only builds resentment in the employee.

To build the positive safety culture you desire, you need to always accentuate the positive whenever possible and correct gently but firmly when needed.

            Until next time….

Best,

David

Subject line:  Safety is personal…

Hey:

You may be scratching your head at the subject line of this email. But if you really think about it, safety is very personal. Safety in the workplace can affect everyone and it’s critical that ALL employees buy into a true culture of safety.

That’s why with all your safety practices you need to be very clear about what are— and what are not— good safety behaviors.

You as a safety coach as well as all employees need to remind each other that safety is very personal.

One employee’s bad safety practices can impact the entire company if left unchecked.  Everyone’s safety depends on employees and supervisors working together to provide a safe work environment for everyone.

So, now you can see: safety IS personal.

            Until next time….

Best,

David

Subject line: We got away from the basics….

Hey:

I’ve noticed over the past two decades that many organizations were having morale problems due to having fragmented safety programs or leaving their managers out of the loop when it came to worker-driven safety programs.

Getting back to the basics is key here.  One of these basics is training these supervisors and managers to be “safety coaches.”  They need to be central in your organizations safety culture.

Leaving them out of the equation leads to bad morale, supervisor apathy and, ultimately, more accidents in your workplace.

Training your managers is one of the first steps in a top-down approach to a great safety culture and works in reverse of the above-mentioned problem by encouraging an “everybody wins” mentality, higher morale and less workplace safety incidents.

            Until next time….

Best,

David

Email #10

Subject line: A culture of safety is not a new initiative….

Hey:

In my last email I discussed getting back to one of the most basic starting points for a great safety culture in your organization—that of including your managers and supervisors in the process.

Since I believe a top-down approach works best in great workplace safety, it’s important to point out that a great culture of safety is not a new initiative or a new program to be initiated.

A culture of safety is an ongoing process that begins with your managers and supervisors who then coach their frontline employees, collaborate with them on best safety practices, confirm them when they’re practicing good habits, and correcting them when their practices are detrimental or dangerous.

When everyone is onboard and working together on this, a true safety culture develops and evolves in your company.

            Until next time….

Best,

David

Hey:

You know, I’ve found that the most common issues CEO’s and executives want coaching on are “people” issues.  Let’s face it, the people in your company are the ones who can make or break your overall success, right?

In my coaching career I’ve coached executives on hiring, firing and motivating people in addition to the day-to-day challenges that any CEO or top-level executive can face when a variety of personalities (who sometimes have their own agendas) are working together.

I’ve run into—and coached on— virtually every conceivable scenario regarding personnel issues either in my own companies or with the people I’ve coached.

I’ve coached on the in’s and out’s of conflict resolution, managing employees behavior, dealing with problem employees, as well as a host of other personnel issues.

Why don’t you message me back right now and we can set up a time to talk.  I can assess your specific issues and you’ll see my coaching style and whether I’m a good fit for you.

Increased productivity and taking your company to the next level may be just a conversation away.

            Until then…

Mike

P.S. You can check out some of my video tips here: http://executivecoachdc.com/mikes-video-tips.  There are a number of videos with tips on the personnel areas I mentioned above, as well as other relevant topics.  And most of them are under 2 minutes long. Hey:

If you check out the “Services” page of my website (http://executivecoachdc.com/services), you’ll see that I provide a wide-range of coaching options including “behavioral coaching”.  This is coaching for people who may have behaviors that are counter-productive to the efficiency and productivity of an organization.

Behavioral issues are a hot-button topic today in business because you can’t have peak performance without addressing—and changing— those habits and shortcomings first.

This is truly personal coaching that addresses the needs of the client as both a leader and as an individual.

My one-on-one coaching with executives has the common theme of addressing behaviors, patterns and habits that impede productivity so that decision-making, communication and overall leadership skills can be strengthened and improved.

Why don’t you message me back while this is on your mind.  We can have a phone chat about how I can help you be a better leader through my coaching program.

Hey, it could be the conversation that propels you forward in your business.

Hey:

Many times I’m approached by CEO’s and other executives for coaching because they face a common problem in business.  Put in the simplest terms, they’re stuck.

It’s part of being human. Even people at the highest levels of business and with a massive amount of responsibilities find themselves stuck at some point.  The self-aware individuals are the ones who contact me for help.

Einstein had a great quote. He said, “We can’t solve problems by using the same thinking we used when we created them.”  Truer words were never spoken about problems and how to deal with them.

And this is why coaching is so important.

My job is to help you get “unstuck”.  To help you figure out the blocks that are keeping you from moving forward—either in your job or in your company as a whole.

Whether these blocks are behavioral patterns, operational problems, cashflow troubles, or even sales or marketing challenges, a good coach can look at your business from an outsiders perspective and see the gaps and sticking points that are holding you back and preventing your growth.

I would love to get on the phone with you and discuss how I can help you move ahead in your career or company.  Simply message me back and we’ll set up a time to talk on the phone.

I know I can help you. I’ve got 14,000 hours of experience in coaching executives and understand your challenges.

I look forward to hearing from you.

            Until then….

Hey:

People ask me what my coaching style is like.  Now, coaching is like anything else: “different strokes for different folks.”  But here’s the thing: I’m hired to get results.

            Period.

And after being in the trenches for over 40 years—as well as coaching for 25 of them—building my own businesses as well as coaching others in theirs— I’ve learned what works and what doesn’t.

So, I’ll be upfront with you. I’m tenacious in getting results for you by making you accountable.  My approach is candid, upfront and honest about what you need to do to get past the blocks, challenges or behaviors that may be impeding your success.

I’ve coached hundreds of people and I’ve run into every type of personality imaginable. I’ve also run into virtually every business scenario imaginable—either personally or through someone I’ve coached.

I’m dead serious about getting results for you.  And I also realize I can’t do it for you.   Coaching is actually a partnership.  And my job is to help you work through the issues and challenges that are keeping you from being where you want to be.

I guarantee I’ll do my part in this relationship.

Why don’t you message me back while it’s on your mind.  We can get on the phone—with no obligation—and you can see what my coaching style is like.

This phone call could catapult you forward in your career and business.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hey:

Another question I get asked a lot about is my coaching “model”.  People want to know whether I do it in person, over the phone or by Skype or Zoom.

Actually, I can do it through any of the above communication preferences.  But my preference is to either do it in person or over a Skype or Zoom session.

            Why?

It allows me to get a real feel for my coaching client and establish real rapport with them.  A coaching relationship must be based on mutual trust and understanding and this is really important to my clients.

They need to feel secure that I won’t break their confidence about the intimate personal and business issues they share with me. By actually seeing each other, we can build a more trusting relationship, see body language, etc.

However, I have done coaching over the phone also. Some executives prefer this and I like to accommodate them where possible.

In addition, when my clients sign up with me, I offer unlimited phone access.  Let’s face it, we’re going to work on the issues at hand during our one-hour sessions.  But what if an issue comes up that you need assistance with right now?

Exactly.  You don’t want to wait until the next session. You need help now!

I make myself very accessible to my clients.  I do promise to get back to you during the same work day.

How about messaging me back so that we can set up a phone call.  You can determine if I’m a good fit for you as a coach.  It’s a quick phone call and you’re under no obligation.

 Hey:

An always-important topic with my coaching clients is sales. As you know, nothing happens in business until someone buys something.

I find this to be a common challenge with many CEO’s.  Either their sales team is under-producing or isn’t producing consistently.  This could be due to a number of reasons.

It could be that your sales force may need a little extra training. Or it could be that your sales management team may need coached to be able to get more productivity out of their people.

Regardless, it’s an issue I’ve run into dozens of times and am fully prepared to help you with.  One of my specialties is sales training.  I’ve done in in my own companies and I’ve done it with dozens of other company’s sales forces.

I can not only work with them on general sales and closing topics but also teach them some marketing methods to help them to generate more leads.

This has proven invaluable to many of my clients as it can be a major pain point in a company’s effectiveness in the marketplace.

If you would like to chat about this or my coaching in general, just message me back. We can set up a time to talk on the phone over a cup of coffee. You can get an idea of whether my personality is a fit for you.

            Until then…

Hey:

One thing I’m a bulldog on is differentiating yourself in the marketplace.  As  you’re already well aware, your unique selling proposition can literally make or break you in many industries.

I’m also a stickler on the topic of “best practices” for an industry.  Best practices are the way things are usually done in a particular industry or niche and I’m a definite contrarian on this.

I coach on “your OWN practices”.  When you’re doing best practices in your company and industry, you’re staying the same as your competition. But when you go “outside the box” and use practices, methods and techniques that other people in your industry aren’t using, you gain a competitive advantage.

My coaching aims to not only get rid of the personal roadblocks you may be facing but I address your business processes and operational procedures that may not be serving you as well as they could.

I not only draw on my own experience in building and running companies but I draw on the experiences of the people I’ve coached in the past.  This creates true synergy in coming up with practices that will serve your organization and take it as far as it can go.

Why don’t you message me back for a free coaching session? We can set up a time to talk about your challenges and you can see if my coaching style is a fit for you.

This simple phone call could take you and your business to the next level—and it’s FREE.

            Until then….

Hey:

A lot of people think I just coach CEO’s and executives.  Although that’s the main focus of my business, many times I’m brought in to coach other individuals and teams in an organization.

I’m a veteran of over 42 years in the corporate world who has worked for  companies such as Bank of America, CitiCorp and BankTec. I’m also the former president of a division of a Fortune 500 company where we started with one employee— and no revenue— and grew it to over 1000 people with revenue of $50-$60 million within 14 months.   I’ve spent 24 years at the CEO/COO level.

I’ve also started, grown and sold various companies of my own.

I don’t tell you this to impress you,  rather to show you that I had to learn virtually every facet of growing a company in my tenure with these companies.  And this is why, many times,  I’m brought in by a CEO to work with their sales people, tighten up their marketing department or work with their management teams.

Each coaching client I take on has their own unique set of challenges and sticking points and I have the experience to help with all of them.

Why don’t you message me back now for a FREE coaching session. You can tell me the challenges you’re facing and also get a feel for what my coaching style is. You can then determine if I may be a good fit for you.

You’re under no obligation and this session could be the extra push you need to move forward faster.

            Until then…

Hey:

One thing I DON’T do, as opposed to a lot of other coaches, is to take a “cookie-cutter” approach to coaching. Every organization is different with different strengths, weaknesses and challenges.

I’m really passionate about coaching executives on the most pressing issues that are holding them back from peak performance.  And every executive is different, with differing personalities, methods of supervising and managing, as well as areas that need modified or changed.

As I stated in an earlier message, I do a lot of behavioral coaching with CEO’s,  executives and management teams.  As humans, we’re prone to patterns and behaviors that sometimes don’t serve us or our organizations.  Becoming self-aware is the first step in changing these limiting behaviors.

Because I’ve coached literally hundreds of executives, I’ve learned to become attuned to various personalities types which enables me to make sure I meet the specific needs of my coaching clients.

I also provide strategic planning for organizations. This, again, is customized for each company as they all have differing long-range objectives.  But implementation of that plan is critical and I can provide guidance and tools to manage the entire process.

I understand corporate executives and the corporate culture. I can help to take you and your teams to the next level in your business.

Why don’t you message me back and let me give you a FREE coaching call. You can then determine if I’m a good fit for you or your employees.

This phone call could be the difference between success and mediocrity in your business. Message me now. I know I can help.

            Until then…

It’s been proven that the role of visual design in website conversion rates is pretty significant.

A site that’s optimized for user experience and search engines can help you engage visitors, build the “know, like and trust” factor and, ultimately drive better conversions for you.

If your site has clear navigation that can help visitors quickly and easily find the information or products they’re looking for, their overall experience on the site improves.

In addition, making your call-to-action buttons prominent, clear and easy-to-find on the site can make a big difference as well.

Our prompts were carefully crafted to provide clear and concise queries with proper information and context.
